I’m CheKesha L. Simms and guess what; God chose to use little ole me to inspire and empower people to reach their fullest potential by sharing real life experiences and the knowledge & information that I have gained throughout my life.

I am a native of Richmond, VA and I still live there with my loving and supportive husband. I am bonus mom to four amazing sons, a Christian Entrepreneur, licensed Cosmetology Instructor & Hairstylist, Content Creator, College Graduate, Leader, and the friend to those I wish I had when I was living a wild & crazy life.

After creating different websites & groups and trying to discover & perfect my gifts and talents God told me that its time!!! I realized that this is my "for such a time as this" moment.

It's time to share all the nuggets that I have obtained by blogging, teaching, and sharing resources & information that has helped me and I hope it will help you in the areas of your life you would like to change.

I know there maybe some challenges but there will be more victories if you just believe! I hope you enjoy and I can't wait to connect with each of you.

In the winter of 2016, I started blogging to help women find healing and deliverance from their broken spirits & strongholds by sharing my testimony. God told me to be transparent so I could connect with women by sharing how I survived abusive relationships, gun violence, being robbed, insecurities, being raped & promiscuity, barrenness, and loneliness through each blog and that is how HerTestimony was birthed (original blog: http://testimonies4her.blogspot.com).

The more I blogged and shared, the more God was revealing to me His calling for my life. He wanted women to see that they were not the only ones that were or had fought similar battles in their lives. He wanted me to expand the blog into a place where women could feel a spiritual connection with other like-minded Women of God. He wanted me to create a community where Sisters in Christ could help sharpen each other (Proverbs 27:17 GNBDC) and inspire worldly women to seek the Kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33 NKJV)

So, in late summer of 2016 HerTestimony went from being just a blog, to growing into a faith-based website. HerTestimony.com became a place where women (and men) from all different walks of life could come connect and not feel like they’re doing life alone.

After taking some time to sit at the feet of Jesus and allow Him to remind me of my purpose I knew it was time to come back to the place that offered me and so many other people healing and that is back her in this place. The website name maybe different but the goal is still the same; and that is to continue inspire, empower, and renew the minds and spirits of my fellow women (and men) of God through my Blog Post.
